From a November 24, 1955 newspaper article this list of carriers with details as to the size of their fleets.

Associated Transport has a total of 3,700 vehicles at 96 terminals. The local Allentown terminal on Airport Road at Cooledge Street uses 26 pieces of equipment.

Eastern Motor Express, uses 23 units at the Bethlehem, out of 1,023 total in fleet.

Mason & Dixon Lines has more than 1,000 units in the fleet.

Motor Cargo, Inc. – 800 pieces of equipment

York Motor Express 800 in fleet with 175 operated locally

Branch Motor Express operates 185 pieces of equipment from terminals in Allentown and Reading, with 650 total system wide.

Modern Transfer Co. Inc has 400 pieces of equipment based at the terminal in Allentown, remainder of its 602 vehicles shuttle among 19 other terminals
