  1. Lot of great names of the past I fondly remember. Being from the south, many ran into Chattanooga where I worked. My career included Interstate Systems, TIME-DC and Brown Transport. Brown bought Thurston which accelerated their demise. Bowman, Johnson, Ryder and ET&WNC were active in Chattanooga

  2. many truck lines were in Charlotte of which I worked for Bruce Johnson, Brown, Bowman, Goggin which are now all fallen. Miss all that fell by wayside. Deregulation!!!!!!!!
